| Scope: Removed over 300,000 square feet of asbestos ceiling tile and replaced it with new ceilings. Xerox's facility in Leesburg, Virginia is a combination of classrooms, offices and living quarters.
Clients from all over the country come to the facility to learn computer and equipment integration while staying at the facility. Southern started out removing and replacing three to four asbestos ceiling tiles in hundreds of locations in order for the maintenance workers
to safely service air handling equipment. A complete removal and replacement of the remaining asbestos containing tiles was later negotiated.
Structure and Complexity: Ceiling tiles were removed at night after classroom sessions were finished for the day using the MT-3 Portable Isolation Enclosure system. Abatement was performed ahead of new ceiling installation.
