| Four MT-3 Portable Isolation Enclosures were used to remove 23,000 square feet of Asbestos Containing Acoustical Ceiling Finish from 15 condominium hallways. Condominium owners were not affected by the abatement because the work areas did not have to be sealed off. Occupants walked under the MT-3's overhanging hoods to get to their condominiums while abatement took place above them.
This project proved that the MT-3 was the best solution for residential abatement. The tenants were not displaced and the hallways were not obstructed. Full containment would have required the residents to be housed elsewhere in hotels, while the lengthy and obtrusive process was completed.
