| Six MT-3 Portable Isolation Enclosures were used to remove Asbestos Containing Ceiling Tiles from 400 separate locations throughout the 500,000 square foot, two story building. The contractor was able to run 22,000 feet of computer cable over two weekends. The MT-3 was selected to control dust created by this activity in the congested office building. Alternatives to the MT-3 would have been to set up individual mini-containments throughout the facility or to completely close off portions of the building for weeks to perform asbestos abatement under full containment.
This project demonstrated the sheer timesaving capabilities of the MT-3. Full containment is not possible as a weekend project, due to the immense setup and teardown times associated with the process. However, the MT-3 provided the dust control needed to successfully and quickly complete the task.
